They say a smile is worth 1,000 words. Well on this particular day, it was worth over 1,000 likes, on Facebook that is.

The above picture was taken at Bloo’s doggie daycare last week.

One of the things I love about Oh my Dog daycare, aside from the fact they take good care of my dog, is they post pictures of every dog, every day, twice a day on their Facebook page.  And Bloo is either very photogenic or they take some pretty darn good pictures (maybe it’s a little of both). Either way, it’s the highlight of my day when he’s there.

This week, not only did they post pictures of all the dogs but they pulled out one particular picture of Bloo and posted it separately to their page (hence, the post above). This post had over 1,000 likes, 120 shares and over 40 comments telling me how cute he was and what a great smile he had.

Aside from the fact that I was gloating all day with pride, this little dog is proof of just how far a smile goes. That smile sparked over 120 people to share it with their friends, over 40 people to make a comment and over 1,000 to show they liked it.

So the next time you’re walking down the street, or the hallway or anywhere and you pass by someone whether it be a stranger or someone you know, remember to smile. It could make their day, because a smile is truly worth a thousand words.
